Comprehensive Essential Obstetric Care
In the area of maternal health, health service providers are in need to enhance their capacity to provide quality health services including improved readiness to deal with basic emergency obstetric care till the case reaches a tertiary-level health facility. This course aims for service providers to be able to meet basic childbirth needs, and decrease unnecessary referrals to more advanced facilities and ensure better quality of care. The 11 different modules in this course cover several topics including detection of high-risk cases, their management, referral mechanisms, and their clinical management.
Intended for health service providers (medical practitioners and doctors), this self-paced online course will include on-camera video lessons, interactive lessons with voice-over, as well as infographics and animations. This course will cover all relevant theoretical concepts that would complement a practical training to ensure comprehensive capacity development of the intended target audience.

Trainer
Mr. Sayed Abdulmalek Certified SRH trainer, started to work in the training field since 2013, conducted trainings with GIZ, UNFPA, Etijah local CSO, and Microsoft Company. Mr. Sayed worked on preparing training materials for awareness-raising activities on reproductive health issues (principles and basics of reproductive health - adolescent health - family planning) and he also conducted awareness-raising activities on issues of gender-based violence and harmful practices (child marriage - FGM).
